2008 Double Vision

Double Vision combines two of our favorite red grapes- Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Together these "visions" in winemaking create a wine of immense complexity.

Our first ever Cabernet-Syrah blend has an intriguing nose of chocolate, herbs, cedar, blackberries and smoke that seamlessly flows into a smooth and silky palate. It finishes with fine-grained tannin and incredible density. The structure from the Cabernet Sauvignon combines with the boldness of Syrah to give this blend great texture, structure and restraint.

90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Bright, deep ruby.  Blackberry, cassis, bitter chocolate and smoky oak on the nose.  Broad, round and sweet, with plush, fat flavors of dark berries and chocolate.  This large-scaled and satisfying wine gives a rather high-pH impression and would appear to be best suited for early drinking.  Finishes spicy and long, with a faint alcoholic warmth.
